Behind The Painting
This painting was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend when I asked her for ideas of what to paint. A buffalo, of course! We then learned we both have a connection to Medora, North Dakota; a place where she learned about buffalos from her grandfather and where my grandpa was inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame.

In many cultures, the buffalo symbolizes abundance, gratitude, and courage—bringing a sense of grounding and strength wherever it goes. May this buffalo awaken the deep well of courage that lives within you, guiding you through every challenge with quiet strength and resilience.
